You are perhaps solo by choice or life has chosen it for you, but there is no reason not to travel.

As we are a travel agency owned and runned by women only, we decided to make a special tour forl single ladies at all age - the only requirement is good humor and be ready to socialize with like minded women. The tour will be unforgettable and you will end up richer of good memories and new friends.

We do offer a fixed tour, from for max 20 ladies, but wecan of course also arrange a private tour for a groupof friends, or those who still want to travel just solo. Please contact info@polarisjourneys for further information.

The settlement in Iceland started in the 8th century, when Iceland was discoverd by the Vikings that came mostly from Norway.  


Through the centuries, Iceland has suffered from brutal volcanic eruptions, earthquicks, extreme cold winters, and different pandemic causing severe situation in the country.   After the second world war, the economy of iceland began to improve and today, Iceland is among the weathiest coundtry of the world.  


Only 380.000 people live on the island, and the main industry has been fish related,  but aluminum smelting and tourism are getting  big industry aswell.  Infrastructer is good,  education level is high  and health care system is strong.  


Icelanders are well educated and physically strong and despite being few, there are surprisingly many icelanders that are world famous, for expample Bjork the singerr and in sport  the country has achieved some attenteion. So this question have been asked by foreigners,  what does those kid get for dinner ?  Fresh fsh and fish oil is still believed to be the key  for bringing up  stong induviduals !


Last but not least, Iceland is a destination where you can truly expect the sincerest and warmest of welcomes. The Icelandic people, descendants of tough Viking warriors and beautiful Irish princesses taken captive during raids, are down-to-earth hard- working people who are proud of their history and culture. By tradition how you welcome and treat a guest is a reflection on you and your honor.

Nordic cuisine

 Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland, is today one of Europe´s most exciting cities when it comes to dining out. Taking advantage of the world´s freshest seafood, its unique mountain-raised lamb and a variety of game,

The size of Iceland is about 103.000. sq km  It is only possible to live along the cost line  and about 65% of the   population is around the capital, Reykjavik capital.  


The middle of the  islands, he highlands, can olny be visited during summer.
