Some of the North's greatest landscapes only reveal themselves from the sea: calving glacier fronts in Greenland, the vertical bird cliffs of the Faroes, Norway's fjord walls, and Iceland's coast turning past the bow through a night that never darkens.
Voyages here range from intimate expedition ships built for ice to refined ocean liners where the journey itself is the destination. The differences between them (size, spirit, itinerary, season) matter enormously, and choosing well is most of the art.
Finding the right ship
We match travellers to voyages the way we match them to lodges: by asking what you want the days to feel like. Zodiac landings and expedition lectures, or white-tablecloth evenings at sea? A week rounding Iceland, or the long arc up the fjords into the high Arctic?
We work with established operators whose ships and standards we trust, and we are candid about the trade-offs of each. Once the voyage is chosen, we design everything around it: flights, chapters ashore before and after, and the small logistics that make embarkation easy.
