This island in the North Atlantic is so full of contrasts. There are these long bright summer nights, with the midnight sun, so bright that you can read and play golf in the middle of the night. On the other hand the dark days and nights during winter, but the advantage is you are able to see the extraordinary northern lights dancing in the sky at nights, when condition of the sky and solar storms are in favor, which happens quite often in Iceland durring winter.
Standards of hotels in Iceland are high. Hotels are relatively small, few chains and more family run hotels.
In Reykjavik, it is always fun to stay down town, in walking distance from restaurants, bars and shops. We especially love to have our guests staying at 4* and boutique hotels style For the bigger groups and self drive, we rather have guests staying where it is easy to park,
Once in the country side, there are so many hotels at beautiful location, espcially in the South and North part of Iceland.
Currently, there are two 5* hotels in Iceland - but more are expected within three years.
We also offer some special accommodation, like glamping or camping overnight in a glass bubble and around Iceland there are beautiful private cottages, with or without service to choose from.
Iceland is a paradise for the active traveler both summer and winter. It is all about the nature, to explore and admire. There are activities for all level and ages - and even if you are less active - there is no place better to relax than surrounded by in the quiet nature and the breathtaking views.
Glaciers gives unlimited opportunities for outdoor activities, hiking, ice climbing, ice cave exploring, sailing on the glacier lagoon among the icebergs and snowmobile driving on the icecap .
The lava and extensive black lava sand fields are the same for hiking and cave exploring - the rivers for salmon and trout fishing, the ocean for sailing, surfing, bird, seal and whale watching and hiking or horseback riding in the unspoiled highlands .
And you don´t want to miss out to try some of the wonderful baths all around Iceland - but every tiny village has a swimming pool with hot jacuzzi, some hotels offer spa with outdoor jacuzzi, - and not to mention the number of nature baths around Iceland, the Blue Lagoon being the most famous. Newer lagoons are the Skylagoon, Vok baths and Geosea - to name a few.

After the second world war, the economy of iceland began to improve and today, Iceland is among the weathiest coundtry of the world.
Only 380.000 people live on the island, and the main industry has been fish related, but aluminum smelting and tourism are getting big industry aswell. Infrastructer is good, education level is high and health care system is strong.
Icelanders are well educated and physically strong and despite being few, there are surprisingly many icelanders that are world famous, for expample Bjork the singerr and in sport the country has achieved some attenteion. So this question have been asked by foreigners, what does those kid get for dinner ? Fresh fsh and fish oil is still believed to be the key for bringing up stong induviduals !
Last but not least, Iceland is a destination where you can truly expect the sincerest and warmest of welcomes. The Icelandic people, descendants of tough Viking warriors and beautiful Irish princesses taken captive during raids, are down-to-earth hard- working people who are proud of their history and culture. By tradition how you welcome and treat a guest is a reflection on you and your honor.

Icelandic weather is unpredictable. It´s never boringly the same. We have a saying in Iceland, if you don´t like the weather, wait for five minutes! So be prepared and remember to bring the right clothing or plan to go shopping for such on the day of arrival.
